Sheet fed and Web presses
Flexibility is the key! That’s why all our presses have paper that runs from reels. This means that not only can we buy paper more efficiently than a conventional printer, but also allows us to move workload between web and B1 presses if we hit high demand in a particular area. We can manage the workflow more effectively and maximize the 24/7 working in all our production departments.
Heidelberg’s cutting edge M600 web press produces high print quality at up to 44,000 impressions per hour, giving our customers the unrivalled quality, productivity and reliability required in these highly competitive times.
The press is fitted with several production enhancements, enabling us to offer many solutions to our customers needs. By having six units, we are able to offer special colours and sealers as part of a single pass. Spine gluing and rotary trimming, perforating and re-moist glue attachments mean that any configuration of finishing is possible. The JF44 folder also allows over 20 different folder section options. The ‘autoplate’ and colour management system reduces make-ready times and ensures constant colour monitoring throughout the run.
Even with all the automation in pre-press, plating and colour management on press printing remains a highly skilled profession. We feel that by having the best equipment, the right people and excellent procedures we will be able to maintain continuous business improvement.
To compliment the speed of the 16pp web we also have the flexibility of two Heidelberg B1 ‘long perfector’ sheet fed 12 and 10 colour presses, both with the ‘CutStar’ reel fed system running high quality at a combined speed of over 20,000 impressions per hour.
