... scented varnish makes an impact!
When we were asked to source a scented sealer for this unique 8pp gatefold mailer by Williams Lea on behalf of James Hay and Cater Allen (the newly allied division of Santander Bank) it was no problem at all!
Our experience in sourcing and running scented products for clients such as Avon Cosmetics meant that right from the supplier in Germany, to the minders on the press everything ran sweetly!
The subtle strawberry scent was applied via sealer process and really enhanced the image of the delicious fruit, providing the recipient with a refreshing and surprising sweet smell when the mailer is handled - just the sort of imaginative idea that makes a mailer stand out from the crowd.
The only technical issues to overcome were solved by a suggestion from our Customer Services department to switch the originally specified silk stock for a gloss, meaning that the scented sealer was the only sealer which needed to be applied, reducing the risk of any of the scent molecules being pre-released in the printing process... smart thinking!
