Matt's Match Found!

We are extremely pleased and relieved to be able to announce that a suitable bone marrow match has been found for Matt and his transplant has taken place.

After an anxious wait to find out whether the donation had been successful everyone was relieved to find out it was. The new cells needed time to 'graft' and begin to produce healthy bone marrow in Matt's body but doctors say Matt is now doing well. Matt had to remain in isolation for a number of weeks after the operation and returned home recently much to the delight of everyone.

Matt's Match would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign in so many wonderful ways. Whilst Matt has received his match, there are still thousands of other matches needing to be found!
