A time for giving...

Eclipse Colour has decided to focus the money normally allocated to corporate gifts towards a more local and personal connection, the 'Matt's Match Campaign'.

Matts Match

Eclipse Colour MD Simon Moore's connections with the Old Northamptonians Rugby Club made him aware of the situation of young Matt Herbert - 15-year-old Matt, a keen fly-half for the ONs Rugby Club, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in December 2008, faces a race against time to find a suitable bone marrow match for a life saving transplant operation. As a Northampton local and supporter of the Northampton Saints rugby (who are right behind the campaign), Simon had no hesitation in lending his support too.

Matts Match

We hope that the generous donation from Eclipse Colour with help boost the momentum already created by stars from the world of sport and TV who have joined the family and friends of Matt to launch the potentially life saving Matt's Match campaign.

Those sporting stars include the players and staff at the Saints, Stephen Peters from Northants County Cricket Club and many players from the Northampton Cobblers Football team. Alongside them from the world of TV is the close personal support from Northampton born actor, Matt Smith (the new Doctor Who) who grew up only three houses apart, attended the same schools, and although a few years older, played in the street with the plucky youngster.

The campaign has the full support of The Anthony Nolan Trust - a charity that connects patients with donors in the hope they will find a bone marrow match for the teenager. Click here to find out more about The Anthony Nolan Trust
