World Class!...
... say Vision In Print
As part of our commitment to continual business improvement and under the framework of Vision In Print (ViP) ‘Lean’ manufacturing guidelines we are subject to regular assessments and reviews.
Following a recent ‘snapshot’ review by the ViP team, everyone here at Eclipse was delighted to be reviewed as ‘World Class’ in two of the fourteen categories. This represents a fantastic achievement and to put that into context, ViP have carried out 250 surveys across the 14 areas in the UK to date, that’s a total of 3500 business areas reviewed and of those only 15 have previously been scored at ‘level 4’ which ViP define as ‘World Class’... that makes the two we received in this review even more exceptional!
Even more encouraging were the number of categories at ‘level 3’ (10 out of 14) which could easily, in the view of the assessment team, move up to Level 4 – World Class with a minimal amount of improvement.
The ‘stand-out’ finding from the review is the cumulative impact of the high levels of performance achieved here at Eclipse compared to the industry average. One glance at ViPs ‘Best Practice Map’ shows us miles ahead of the ‘industry norm’... a position we intend to keep!
Simon Moore (MD) said ‘Since the introduction of ‘Lean’ manufacturing techniques into the business in 2006 we have seen continual and sustainable improvements. This latest snapshot review by ViP is very encouraging for me and all my team who have worked hard to achieve this level of recognition. As with everything in business today there’s always more to aspire to and we are looking for ‘World Class’ in all categories next time!’
